People are wondering, "What is the meaning behind this work?"

Well, here, I'll explain it.

In Guam, there are FIVE major public high schools (and the only 5 HS): John F. Kennedy High School, George Washington High School, Okkodo High School, Simon Sanchez High School, and Southern High School. All of these schools are rival schools.
The objective of the Prutehi Hao contest is to put all the schools (by using their mascots) into one drawing, showing unity against HIV.

The Islander (JFKHS mascot) is trying to block penetration.
The Gecko (GWHS) is wiping away the tears..."healing"
The Bulldog (Okkodo) is being a shield
The Shark (SSHS) is breaking a syringe, which is one cause of HIV-- syringe penetration.
The Dolphin is easing the pain.

The eye symbolizes the world and on the middle is the island of Guam. If you hadn't noticed, I put together the male and female sign as unity of all sexes. The red ribbon on the background is, obviously, the symbol for HIV/AIDS awareness.
